Why Raised Beds? If you're sincere about growing food on the front range, our soil composition makes this an uphill battle. It's clay dense, has poor drainage, and low nutrient content. Produce just doesn't grow well without years of soil ammending. Raised Beds allow you to grow bountifully in high-tilth, nutrient-dense organic soil/compost. Rich with castings from our worm farm, and two feet high from the ground to make planting, pruning, and harvesting easier--you will maximize your yields exponentially using raised beds. This is our passion: helping you grow your own food in superbly built planters. Over half of the water used on the Front Range is for irrigating lawns; let's move away from lawns and towards self-sufficient organic gardening and replacing sod with water-conserving, native, edible, and regenerative xeriscacapes.
